I bought a film slide copier which attaches to the lens of my "old" Nikon P5100. It is cheaper than printing+scanning with my cheap scanner and a lot cheaper than paying for a "nice" scan at the local photo shop. All these uploads were made with this.

The quality is uneven.

The background light makes a big difference with those attachments, if you have one fix a light diffuser over the window and use that as the light source ;) For myself this is beautiful !!

I agree. I need to work more at getting a good strong even light source. I was using a white computer screen but that didn't seem strong enough, at least not for every slide.

The same thing caught me out when I tried one. Artificial light is I think the word is oscillates and in the worst cases can even cause banding like on a TV screen.
