Having spent the better part of the day driving from the Escalante, Utah area, I'm ready to hit the trail (i.e. dirt road) to look for some pictographs.

I've placed this photo on the map, but further photos won't be. The rock art panel I was headed to is extremely secret and I won't be giving away any hints to its location.

Pam J has particularly liked this photo

Sad that you must do that. But even sadder when you find a hole in the cliff where the panel used to be. Saddest of all to walk into an elegant office in Vegas and see a slab of real rock, with real petroglyphs, mounted on the wall.

Better safe than sorry. This panel doesn't have one mark on it that's not supposed to be there.

Jim....

I might be tempted if I were you not to even mark this pic.. and fuzz out the sign a bit.

As Laurie said... such a shame... but has to be done..

Pam - The rock art panel is miles and miles from this spot. No one could find it from this shot - or even by looking at the upcoming shots - without pretty good directions and/or a GPS coordinate.
