It is doing Manchester to Palma Mallorca back and forth at the moment. I assume getting stranded Thomas Cook customers home

Guess you are living near a airport and flight path Colin, I would like that as I am always fascinated by air traffic. We live near the USAF airbase at Lakenheath about 8 miles away and jets are always passing over at different times, Noisy too.

Yes and I have always looked up to see birds and planes. The noise is interesting. I have developed a skill in IDing plane types or more especially ones that are out of the ordinary for Manchester approach. Military types do stand out !
