My EeePC 701 nine years later

My EeePC 701 nine years later

Yes, it's nine years old and still going strong. I'm now running Q4OS Linux on it and it works wonderfully; although, the left touch-pad button is a bit worn.

So, what do I use it for, you may ask? Web browsing and email (SeaMonkey), photo editing (Fotoxx and GIMP), video editing (Open Shot), and some word processing (WPS). Although it's small, it's a great little PC for off-grid living. It uses very little power, so it's easy on the solar battery bank, and it doesn't take up much space in our little cabin.

You can also find out more about this excellent operating system, Q4OS, by visiting their website here: Q4OS.org. Not only does it perform wonderfully, but if you are a MS-Windows user and miss the look, feel, and functionality of XP, then be sure to visit Q4OS.
