Robin standing, unsupported

Robin standing, unsupported
This is Robin. She is a collaboration between Christine (Dandelion Fair) and me. Christine purchased my Francesca face sculpt, attached it to a cloth and wire head/neck stem and completed the rest of the head, neck and ears in paperclay. Christine then painted her face in oil paints and returned it to me for completion.

It took me awhile to decide on the right combination of body and limb designs, but in the last few days, I was ready to give it a try.

Robin is 7 7/8" tall without the wig. Her head turns from within the torso. Her shoulders are jointed with small plastic doll joints and her hips are jointed with ribbon. Mitt hands are wired to hold items. Her elbows and knees bend and straighten without wires. It's all done with just the body pattern, craft velour fabric and poly fiberfill. Her feet are flat so she can stand unsupported.
