Day 69: Blouse and Bretelles with Satin Ribbon Sash

Day 69: Blouse and Bretelles with Satin Ribbon Sash
This cotton blouse is a simplified version of the cream puff blouse I made for Katy Jo. I eliminated the lining and bound waist band, but did add bound cuffs (instead of elasticized ruffles) with a lace overlay. The neckline has a narrow ruffled lace edging and a back closure (three snaps). This blouse tucks into the petticoat skirt.

The lace bretelles are not attached to the blouse. They simply drape over the shoulders and tuck into the skirt's waistband.

I found the satin ribbon among my priceless family treasures. It was badly stained, but cleaned up beautifully. This piece was just long enough to tie around Anita Marie's waist to make a sash.

This now concludes my adventures in ecru :-)
