Anita Marie's Auburn Wig 021

Anita Marie's Auburn Wig 021
These are Tibetan lamb locks cut from their skin and wefted on the sewing machine, then hand sewn to a crochet cap.

The wig is removable. It can be washed, brushed and styled as desired. Looks good parted from any point. Spent a week "engineering" this and working out all the bugs, but this wig does everything I wanted it to do - without glue.

To make the hair lie down nicely and also to bring back the shine, the finished wig was dipped in a basin of tepid water mixed with about three drops of baby oil in it. The wig was dunked several times to completely wet it, then swished around a bit. I rinsed it out under running water and laid it flat on a towel and blotted it dry. Covered Anita Marie's head, face and shoulders with a sheet of plastic wrap, then gently brushed it out and styled it as you see here. Let it dry over night.

My little girl has grown on me in the past week and I think the wig makes her look a bit happier :-)
