Floral Jean Jacket 011

Floral Jean Jacket 011
Katy Jo told me that she had "the bestest idea for a little jacket" to add to the portrait-style clothing collection because, in her words, "it sometimes gets a little cold in the Spring and a little jacket would make all the girls "much more comfortable" if they could have one in the clothing collection." I really liked her idea, so I designed this jeans-style jacket for her. She loves that it matches the 8-panel skirt. I think it would look best with a white or soft pastel one or two piece dress in delicate crochet or cotton fabric. The jacket pockets are functional and the cuffs are folded up. I can't make decent buttonholes, so the buttons are for show, but the jacket does overlap in the front for those who can sew nice buttonholes and would like a jacket that can be fastened. Katy Jo's jacket is very girly, but in another fabric choice, it could be sporty, casual or altered slightly to be suitable for a little boy.
