Thursday's Child

Thursday's Child
For the heck of it, I stood this doll up and she remained upright without support. I was so stunned, I had to take a photo to prove it. The next morning, she was still standing. The room was a wreck, but she was still standing ... lol

It is an amazing photo; love the fact that she is still standing amid the chaos. I think there is a message here, don't you :-)

My thoughts exactly, Beth! Thursday's Child was one of those amazing doll projects where everything worked perfectly the first time. I developed her pattern back in the 1990's and I really should turn it into a commercial pattern. The possibilities are endless. Quite some time ago, I bought some fabric treatment that once done, will allow me to iron the fabric to freezer paper and print face images for others to use to make these dolls. I just have to cut the fabric, treat it, transfer it to the freezer paper, draw the faces and do the printing. (Yeah, "just"!) I'd like to offer the printed fabric faces and the doll pattern as a mini-kit. I think doll makers would appreciate having a set of nice faces to work with.

Hugs,
Victoria
