Directly at the port are in the Sielstraße the oldest houses of the village. On the gable ends are coats of arms, provide information on their date and their early owners.
For example, there is the house of Mr and Mrs Tobias Wilhelm Damme and Elke Ubben from 1741 or the house with the inscription "IN DOMINO CONFIDO" ("I trust in God"), whose gabled stone stimulates the imagination of the village chronicler.
