Well, this still looks pretty impressive, macro or not. I tried to take some more close-ups at the weekend but sadly any flying visitors to our Sunflower, took flight before I could get very close. Clearly your flower was more attractive to it's visitor! And there is no evidence of a pin through the bee's body so I suspect it was alive...
I wanted to check its sharpness in iPhoto, zoomed in on the central area, and liked what I saw. Besides, I didn’t want to compete with your Sunflower! ;-)
