Snail

These are the big ones, the kind people eat. However, I’d prefer four-legged animals anytime.
(No, ye vegetarians, I wouldn’t be able to kill eatable animals myself, and confess to be highly inconsistent: my life is a lie.)

:-D Kees! We are all the same! I can't produce micro-chips and assemble an iPod but I can use one!! :-D

As for eating snails... Your photo is enough to convince me never to try!! :-)))

Actually, I think my inconsistency in this issue is a bit problematic, but what can I do? I’m not fond of vegetables, and while farmers (from whom I descend) don’t eat what they don’t know, I’m even worse: I need to know what I eat, but my knowledge is likely to be prohibitive, as in this case...
Some day, I might skip food, and concentrate on cigars.

Yummy! Sautéed in butter with just a little garlic (don't want to overpower the delicate snail flavor!) they are delicious.

But even the common NA garden slug tastes pretty much the same. Eaten raw with salad dressing they have a delicate garden mollusk flavor not unlike raw oysters. And it really grosses out your hostess when you compliment her on the garnish in her salad and then down the squirmy little fellow.

Your capability of abstraction is quite amazing! How something looking like this can be delicious escapes me... Our garden harbors many escargots, but few compared to the Spanish slugs which even our lizards spurn. If they really get your saliva going, you must come and visit us: you could then harvest them yourself, save our flora, and be a cheap and welcome guest...

I know about the salad: most of our food is organic. (I don’t eat salad.)

Hover lights are not allowed on public streets in Germany. I guess we're stuck with this snail.

I have wondered for quite a while why you wouldn't add Woodchuck to your contacts, but I hesitated to get involved in what I conceived to be some discord... :-)

Discord? Discord? What discord?

Sherry is a sweetie and I'm too old to fight. Nah, just sluggishness and native reserve.

Besides, you know what the Preacher said, 'long about Chapter 3 - "tempus tacendi et tempus loquendi." Sometimes I get tired of listening to myself.

Yes, I know that ol' Byrds song too!

You have never seen Sherry angry, but I have (thank God she wasn't angry at me). She can be a formidable sweetie. Besides, my comment has solicited a reaction from you, so everything is fine as it is...
