Us As Me

Companion piece to this one.

Sherry wore one of my jackets. I’m sorry to say that it was severely damaged in my scooter accident. It goes without saying, that the volume on the table isn’t the whole Latin lexicon: it only contains part of the letter “I”.

GREAT companion piece
and you ruined MY jacket????
:-((((((

Keespro replies:
Yes, I’m sorry, but the good news is that I’ve got several other jackets of this kind (Lands’ End sold them out, some time ago). To be honest, my collar bone worries me more than the elbow: the elbow is stabilized, and I don’t think much about it, but I’m always uncertain if certain movements or postures may not harm my collar bone... Oh well, I’ll be all right –you’ll see!

Yes, great photo!! What a pair!! :-D :-D

But of course I'm saddened about all the damage you did to yourself Kees :-( I guess I was hoping German roads were safer than British ones, but perhaps they are the same everywhere, these days.

Today I surveyed a few new Peugeot scooters - times are hard and I can't afford to run two cars - but then I remembered my Dutch friend... And thought "No"... I may have been an ace bike-rider twenty years ago, but I doubt I have those reflexes any more.

Keespro replies:
Thanks, Nigel! I strongly doubt if British roads are worse than ours. The only reason why I wouldn’t survive long on them would be favoring their wrong side.
Scooting is a very satisfying experience, in general (!), but for the sake of safety, I would probably drive a small car if I could park it. I now think about buying a Piaggio MP3, a three-wheel scooter with rather odd looks, but one which is much safer than the ordinary kind. They’re also developing a hybrid version of it, BTW, though I fear it might cause a private economic melt-down (if we survive the global one).
