Sherry on the Dark Side

A grainy picture? Yes, but it isn’t a normal grain, it’s an artistic grain, which makes you almost forget that the original was virtually black.
So have I been “Photoshoping”?
No no, you who know me better also know that I’d never do that. I’ve just PhotoArtistExpressed a bit.
(But you can still see the cup is Wedgwood!)

I guess it must be the caffeine content that appeals to her...

May I politely suggest this looks like all our photos used to look when we printed them out, oh so many years ago, on our dot-matrix ribbon-based printers?!?!? :-D Luckily without the appalling noise they used to make!

Glad you are using Wedgewood! :-D

Your politeness doesn’t make the truth less bitter... ;-) You’re right, though I don’t believe that PhotoArtistExpress listed it as the “ImageWriter” effect (which, BTW, could only be accomplished with a fresh ribbon, and even then the print head would have left horizontal streaks).

I loved my ImageWriter II. Still have it. Its nine needles could well compete with the 24 needles of other models. And the best thing: I also still have Macs to which it could be connected!

Ah yes... My first 9-pin was an Oki... Annoyingly it used slightly different escape codes to the Epson standard, so the results were always unpredictable. Next I actually bought an Epson 24-pin, just to make sure it was compatible... And yes, of course, those stripes!!! :-D
