HFF - Rintelner Stadtmauer

An der Rintelner Stadtmauer.

Die Stadt Rinteln wurde seit dem Mittelalter durch eine Stadtmauer geschützt. Die Befestigung wurde im Laufe der Jahrhunderte noch weiter ausgebaut. Einen Rest der Stadtmauer mit Mauerturm sieht man hier an der St.-Sturmius-Kirche. Die neugotische Kirche wurde erst später (1888) außerhalb der Stadtmauer errichtet. Rinteln hat eine schöne Altstadt mit zahlreichen Fachwerkhäusern.
