Anyone know what this is? I'm not even sure if it's an Australian native or not. Looks like some sort of vine with underground runners (?). Widespread throughout the mid-western national parks...

Thanks for the Hydrocotyle laxiflora link.Seems likely this is the one - also known as "Stinking Pennywort", as apparently flowers have an "offensive odor. I will try to confirm if/when I see the flowers in spring...
