I would love to go walking on the nearer of the two hills as it hasn't been despoiled by building encroachments ... yet!

the buildings on that hill have for the most part never been completed, i think some mafia story ;) speculation and money laundering or something. i have hiked to the top of the right mountain ;) nice former lighthouse on top now inhabited by an erimite/ artist.

Lots of housing estates are like that in Spain, relics of the property crash of 2008. Suddenly everything just stopped and you see cranes in suspended animation as it were, from 13 years ago! Now you wonder if they ever will get built or whether they will remain a testimony for the coming generations of a culture of greed (or 'speculation' as you say!)
