these are christmas-plates and a specific year is written on it (1993), so i think nobody wanted to buy/ use these plates after 1993

Still, it does seem the ones not broken could be donated - there are always people / groups who need things ... but don't know how it works in your corner of this World - we are in the same World, yet so many things are very different ....
