American Settlers Tent

American Settlers Tent
During the 18-19 century period when settlers first arrived to the new land, most had to build tents to keep warm, and their beds sometimes weren't always made with cotton matress pads, but using a large stack of soft pine needles gathered and covered over by heavy leather blankets to provide comfort from the hard and sometimes rocky terrain of nature.

They were sometimes comfortable to sleep on, but not like the sleeping cotts of today where better foam and cotton materials are used.
