Exactly...in the 1950's in England as a child I also played in bombed houses.......it is part of my visual memory of childhood!
It was haunting and very sad to see these bombed and bullet marked empty houses in Sri Lanka. There are de-mining teams from all over the world working there. Mines are in fields, rie fields, on roadsides and beaches......so sad. And the people...the poor and "little" people suffer it all....
