Australia.Glenrowan. Ned Kelly armour

Australia.Glenrowan. Ned Kelly armour
Ned Kelly was a 19th century bushranger (outlaw) whose legendary robberies have made him an Australian icon. He and his gang wore armour like this to protect themselves when in gunbattles with the police. Kelly was captured at Glenrowan and hanged in 1880 at the age of 25.

That would be nice. I'm sure we can meet one day...I get around. Speaking of which I am driving 600km tomorrow and 700mk the day after to go home. I have been visiting my son in Canberra. I live 1300km away. It will be a couple of long days, but I enjoy driving. I really do look forward to meeting you one day. Hope your cold gets better soon. Hugs Diana

I'm impressed by the bullet impacts on the mask. I don't know which kind of revolver or rifle the Australian police used by that time, but even to sustain a slow 44 bullet, the armor had to be rather thick !!!

Sorry..I did not make fully clear...it is a replica...whether the bullet marks on the original were identical, I do not know....oops!
