It was interesting to see the multi-lingual signage, such as this Post Office at a little village. I was very struck by the amount of advertising being given to mobile phones (3G when this was taken). I should add that the coverage (with my phone) was surprisingly good everywhere we went, despite the mountainous terrain.

Mobile phones are everywhere... even in the most remote places now.
I remember 25 years ago to be surprised in Italy to see so many people already using them... in 1995 there were the first ones and in my country very few people could afford them, most of the time it was for work.
I was one of the first persons to have one, a Sony Ericsson, because it was professional, more practical than the previous radiocom bag !
