Your camellias flower in late autumn early winter? Ours flower in early spring and almost always get damaged by frost which causes the petals to go brown. At least these are pure white.

Thanks, Amelia. Briefly, the two main types of camellia here are the Sasanqua and Japonica. The Sasanquas flower from about Feb to June, then the Japonicas take over from July to Sept. One of the benefits of them here is that they are drought tolerant - and frosts aren't a problem for us on the coast. Have a great weekend and stay safe.
