Beautifully captured. They are such lovely birds even if they do attack your head when you get too near their nest.

Thank you, Jean. Gudrun also mentioned that the Arctic Terns are quite aggressive - I'm very glad to say that these are not that way inclined (or I'd have been much further back in my shots of the colony).

Marvelous photography, George! These fancy-haired terns have certainly shown you their very best! I showed Steve too, he appreciated your pictures as well, and I told him you were from AU, and about the adventures you've shared, along with, "Who knows...maybe we will meet him one day!" Wouldn't that be nice. Looked at where you live, Steve's been to Melbourne, we've both been to Sydney (honeymoon and other trips), but neither has been down in your neck of the woods. Some day...that would be so nice! :)

There's an awful lot of Australia to see beyond Sydney and Melbourne, Janet, so if you do make that trip I'd suggest allowing plenty of time (as you're into mobile homes, maybe hire one). I'll be happy to show you around the local area if you find yourselves here. :-)
