The cyclist

The cyclist
Complete with "anti-diving-bird" headgear. As an aside, my desktop computer is having problems at present with ipernity (I couldn't add the title or this note, though the laptop seems ok). So, is anyone else having problems or is it just my old and tired computer with maybe a software issue?

Explored.

By way of clarification, Steve, in their breeding season (which is not now) our magpies can become very defensive of their nest areas and divebomb passers-by. It seems they sometimes prefer to attack cyclists.

Great headgear George, that is a new one for me.
I uploaded and amended images this morning without issue.

That helmet looks really funny! Diving birds are a serious issue though. We have breeding buzzards around here who attack joggers and cyclists, one landed in A&E with a bleeding head wound.
I didn't have any issues with ipernity either.

A funny helmet. Nice shot, but without your explanation it would be very mysterious, George!

Thanks for your comment, faves and feedback, everyone. It seems I've (at least for the moment) cured my problem with ipernity - I use a 'cookie blocker' and it seems that's where the problem has begun to arise. I've used it for a year or two, but suddenly ipernity is only working when it's set to "pause". Goodness knows why, I presume some changes to code somewhere...

Thanks, Graham. We have plenty of magpies and have never had a problem, I guess it's the old story of a few giving all a bad name. :-)

I heard something about the swooping on ABC RN (Science Show?) in the last year that it's only around 20% of all that ever swoop (I think the study quoted a figure of 22%).

I would have thought a standard helmet would be sufficient, but what do I know ;-) Certainly a 'made me look' shot, George!

I've occasionally had problems with doing things on IP, but trying a different browser or a reboot usually gets me around the issues.
