Aurora over Mawson station 

From an old 1966 slide (Kodachrome 2, Minolta SR1, Minolta Auto Rokkor 58/1.4). Looking toward the SW, with snow drifts beside the huts - the kitchen/mess to the left and the radio shack to the right: all these buildings have now gone.

Very nice atmosphere and interesting to see it so blue. Here it's usually quite green

Thank you for your kind comment. The key point here is that this was taken on daylight film, with reciprocity issues affecting colour that digital doesn't have. That said, the colours did indeed vary from yellow-green to blue-green and, when the aurora was really firing, red tones coming in.
