das freut mich. Die Begegnung mit diesem alten Mann war auch unvergesslich: er "lebt" auf der Mauer und verkauft Touristen Postkarten und Getränke. Aber nicht in einem Geschäft, sondern indem er auf der Mauer hinter ihnen herläuft, bis sie ihm etwas abkaufen. Und in seinem Alter war er mindestens genau so flink wie wir - wir konnten ihn also gar nicht "abschütteln" :-) (ja: wir haben ihm etwas abgekauft - und dafür durfte ich ihn dann auch fotografieren)
I'm glad you like it. Meeting this old man atop the Chinese Wall was really an experience. He basically "lives" on the wall and sells postcards, softdrinkts and souvenirs to tourists. But not in a shop, instead he follows tourists who are hiking the wall until they buy something from him. And at his age he was at least as fast as us - we could not "shake him off" at all. so in the end we bought something from him - and in return, he let me take a picture of him.
Whether he still believes in Mao and communism, I don't know - maybe he just wears that cap to meet the expectations of the tourists ;-)
do I mind? Not in the least, dear Roberto. I feel very honored that you thought my picture worthy and I'm glad you've "brought it back" from the dusty pages of our older ipernity entries... ;-)
