Daria DVD sets: real and fake

Daria DVD sets: real and fake
On the left in green: the pirate version that came out long before the official release, which was duplicated from videotapes recorded off the TV.

On the right in blue: the official release from 2010, professionally rendered.

Main difference between the two: It took about 8 years for the official release to come out because the producers didn't want to pay out the ass for the rights to the music used in every episode, so they spent all this time removing it. Thus the ripped-from-TV version has all the original music. Oh, and the pirate set costs more than the real thing.

Found the pirate set at a yardsale for $1. Someone had ordered The Muppet Show for $50 from a shady online dealer and got this instead; when they complained they got the wrong item, they weren't sent the right one.
