All gone!

All gone!
Virtually everything in this photo is now long gone!

The smaller man is my Great Grandad! He injured the tendons in his left hand in World War One - I don't know how!

Ian D B has particularly liked this photo

When was the original photo taken...mid or early 1960's maybe?

This is a great old bw portrait. Thanks for sharing it.

There lived a man in my small town who was shot in the wrist in France during WW1. He had problems with that wound for many years.

He couldn't straighten his fingers - in some photos he covers that hand with the other!

No, not that I know of! I think it was just that he didn't want it to be seen in photos! I saddly never met him, he died before I was born!

I'll be honest - I don't remember you! :-) That said, I ofen wondered where some contact had popped up from, especially when they changed their names! :-) ! (-: I don't recognise your photos, not the ones on here! :-)

Thanks! :-) The chimney in this shot belongs to a building near Foster's Gas Works - the Tesco stands on the site now!

I remember Ian D B from flickr. You posted comments on Mustangkoji's photos a lot, if I remember right, and his blog too I believe.
