Austin Healey 3000 Mk II

Austin Healey 3000 Mk II
I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a new born baby it just happens every day

o0o fabulous cars they are too ;-) ah you bring memories
flooding back ;-) and your words are poignant at the moment
also ... ;-) perfect in black and white ... brilliant actually ... the
one my friend had was black with a maroon bonnet as I
remember ;-) but it was a long long time ago ... and can
remember the tyres on the gravel as it pulled onto the
drive ... ah memories ;-) oOo

A mysterious view of this English classic. My brother had one for a short while years ago. I always was jealous because it seemed so luxurious in comparison to my 1961 MGA 1600. His had roll up windows and a 6 cylinder engine. Mine had sliding plastic windows and a 4 cylinder mill. Both had Lucas Electrics, however. Lucas was the inventor of the three way switch. Dim, flicker, and smolder. :)

That's a great story, Chip.
I guess the most cars are in the garages of collectors and see the sunlight only occasionally.

George Lucas and company later moved on from motorcycle and automobile electrical systems into production of vacuum cleaners. It was the only product they made that didn't suck. :) If you find this offensive, Norbert, remove it. It is just a joke from my vintage motorcycle circle of friends. I also remember that my brother's Healey 3000 was much easier to replace the clutch. Just pull back the floor and unbolt the bell housing. On my MGA I had to pull the engine to replace the clutch. As a teenager, I was pretty rough on clutches. :)
