Happy Last Fence Friday! (For me, anyway.) I'll be observing for a little while longer but probably not posting anymore. Since most of you seem to be on your way back to Flickr and as I never got around to completely closing my account over there, I may yet continue to see and *** your fine work, but not planning on being very active and posting myself. Between my stressful job and another writing project, photography will have to take a backseat, at least for the foreseeable future. Be well, everyone, and keep capturing those wonderful images.

I sure hope you'll have the time and curiosity to look in occasionally, and even to post a shot or two. We need all the friends we can get - and keep - these days.

Indeed, I will keep looking, and amen to needing friends in these crazy times -- we won't survive otherwise (and may not at any rate, but there I go again, all gloom and doom ...)

Has nobody read about the perpetual hacks at Yahoo? Has no one looked at the godawful mess Flickr is these days? I have a placeholder account there, but I won;t be posting regularly -- for one thing , the Flickr format destroys composition.

But I'll be checking up on you there, Sarah. Post or else.

I've asked this before, and I'm a bit surprised no one seems to be willing to check it out: has anyone looked at www.fotocommunity.com? I never participated in the site, but I used to look at it a lot, and it has been around for years and seems stable and geared towards serious photographers. It's somewhat European-focused, but so is ipernity ...
