I’ve probably said before that this kind of image reminds me of Giorgio de Chiirico’s paintings. e.g “Piazza d’Italia”. A particular kind of mood is created: melancholy, uncertain of what is, our distant relation to reality. It’s a scene that draws the viewer in, a compulsive dream. You can’t look away.
