Thanks! I took a lot of shots of egrets taking off, flying and landing that day, and this was the one that turned out sharp.
I guess this is typical when shooting rapidly moving objects under less than ideal conditions, and ideal conditions won't happen so long as I can't get the birds to do as I want them to.
