They had been tied down, tortured and savagely murdered. The bodies at first appeared to be about 3 days old. In fact they dated back several thousand years. A chemical reaction in their marshy graves meant that several millennia after these brutal murders, forensic scientists could treat the case as if it had happened yesterday, examining every detail of the flesh, hair and soft tissue for clues about the lives and deaths of these two men.
