Saucy King Stephen
Of all the royal statues in York Minster, naughty Stephen is the only one who shows his legs. And in a House of God too!

Lady Wentworth
York Minster, again. Note how whilst men may gaze forward, or even upwards with an exalted expression, women must turn their eyes demurely downwards as they await eternity.

The Book, again
One of the few examples in York Minster where a statue is actually reading, rather than holding, a book. This statue is fairly high up (about 3m) and I had to zoom quite heavily in bad light with a fast shutter so it’s nasty and noisy.
