the statues of royalty in the inner courtyard date from 1617 and are great fun. unfortunately, you have to sign up for an interminable guided tour to see them; our guide had droned on for half an hour before letting us inside the front door, and half of our group made their excuses and left well before the end, bored witless by a grovelling hagiography of the owner and a tour through bedrooms and bathrooms to let.
