His father, Tim Buckley also died early & tragically, from an accidental heroin overdose, aged 28, on June 30th 1975. Funnily enough, I remember that day well. It was my last ever day in Primary school, & I'd won a medal at a running Championships that afternoon (Bronze, 800m, should have been the Silver, I was pipped on the line, dammit.
