Ghost ride

Ghost ride
A silent race to oblivion. At the finishing line the winner will be just that - finished. Once bold and shiny autobahn eaters, invincible and admired, now silently declining back to where they came from, dismissed, unnoticed.

For many people today, this is the preferred form of car existence. For the rest of us, this is pure humiliation, a scary reminder of what may lay ahead for ourselves. Sig transit.

Thomas Listl, Yvonné Lizzy Bruni, DIVINE ENFANT and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

It's a pleasure to wander through your gallery and to discover what's hidden in there.
If only they could talk. People might have cried in one of these cars, music was probably played, maybe with driving with open windows. Left like a bunch of metal, filled with past memories.
Fascinating!

This one is easy: they are my father's old cars, and I can tell you right away what they have heard: a helluva lot of swearing! He is one of those drivers who opens his mouth only to swear at other drivers around him, and has always been that way! :-)

You're making me laugh. Here I was, my imagination running, had all these mental pictures in my head. Oh, cruel reality;-)

Cruel is the right word here, I'm afraid. :-) But please keep your pink, blue or whatever coloured pictures in your head, Eefje: the cars were bought used, so who knows what they have seen and heard in their previous lives – at least if they were out of the province. If not, they just heard more swearing. :-)
