Swan on the River Leven at Dumbarton Bridge

Swan on the River Leven at Dumbarton Bridge
Self Challenge: Take a photo every day in June, and use a different lens each day.

20. Canon EF 75–300mm f/4.0 – f/5.6 USM III

The mute swan (Cygnus olor) is a species of swan and a member of the waterfowl family Anatidae. It is native to much of Eurosiberia, and (as a rare winter visitor) the far north of Africa. It is an introduced species in North America – home to the largest populations outside of its native range – with additional smaller introductions in Australasia and southern Africa. The name 'mute' derives from it being less vocal than other swan species. Quoted from Wikipedia

I think this swan must have known it was being photographed, Rosa, as it unfolded its wings right on cue. LOL. I am delighted you like it. Thanks for your very kind comment. Cheers, Joe

The max. focal length for tele lenses equals cylinder capacity for cars. One never can get enough. Cheers for introducing your Canon zoom and, yes, lovely reflections on the water.
Have a good Sunday, Joe.

To have 30 different lenses is an achievement in it's self. I love this Swan shot, I think this one is a bit agitated, Interesting point how the "Mute swan" was so called.
Good Sunday and happy shooting for the rest of June.
