This is the kind of shot I strive to take Joe! I love the water which appears almost frozen in flow, contrasting with the sharpness of the autumn leaves. A beautiful picture. Cheers, Rosa.

Thanks for your lovely comment, Rosa. This is just upstream from the 'Dog-Suicide Bridge'. If you want to take a pic like this, I hope you have a tripod. Cheers, Joe

I do have a tripod Joe, but never take it out with me! I bought it originally to take some portrait pictures. It's a bit much too carry around, so I guess I will never get a good shot like this one :-(
Cheers, Rosa.

I have a few tripods of different sizes, Rosa, When I head for Overtoun Estate, I always take one with me in a bag that I sling over my shoulder. Cheers, Joe

Like Rosa, I never take a tripod with me (one reason is that I don't have one but the main reason is that I only use a small pocket digital and my smart phone. I like to go scrambling among the rocks and any added encumbrance such as a DSLR, lenses and tripod would seriously get in the way.)
One day, when I have finally hung up my scrambling footwear , then maybe ... ...
Another fine shot by the way!

Thanks for your very kind comment, Andy. I have a tripod with me when I am shooting in secluded locations. I tend not to use one when in an urban setting. Cheers, Joe
