Always thinking of you

Always thinking of you
Lately I've read that use of the tintype process carried on well into the 20th century. This vintage WW2 portrait, for a serviceman, sure looks like one.

beverleyplaya, Tabea-Marie, forever is a long time, chris baker and 3 other people have particularly liked this photo

Nice! The crackled surface of the photo reminds me of a broken mirror and makes me wonder how the serviceman and his sweetheart fared during the war. Quite poignant!

Thank you, Alan! That poetic way of looking at it hadn't occurred to me, but I really do appreciate it.

Curious, the car and the house in the background is focused and the girl seems to be out of focus !

Thank you, Angelica. Storing it away from light (as it has been) is about all one can do, I guess. :)
