Falling Thru The Lens ... Goodbye...
Falling Thru The Len…
The shapes in the branches were what I noticed first. Good thing you photographed it - another reminder to make the photos we see, when we see them.

Indeed, I was very sorry to see this beautiful tree go. I watched as the tree surgeons took it down branch by branch. In it's prime it was one of the tallest trees in the area and was a home to all kinds of wildlife. Our local population of Rose-ringed Parakeets loved hanging out in this tree. Tulip trees have beautiful pale yellow tropical-looking flowers in the early summer and although not rare in the UK are one of our less common trees.

I'm glad you made this photograph. A roll of film in my closet undeveloped, it has a favorite old oak after it fell. I keep putting off developing it.

Glad I did too, been looking at this tree for most of my life! Looking forward to seeing your photos of the oak, always a pleasure to see your work.
