My guess is that what spurred you to do this was the attack which hit the school? Quite why the whole world didn't just rise up and shout very loudly NO!! from every city, town and village, I really am not sure. If everyone shouted loud enough maybe someone would actually listen.

Yes, I take your point that you make the gesture for not just one conflict, but all those conflicts which destroy peace, hope and people. I hope I'm still around when the world is a more peaceful and tolerant place for our kids...

As for the photo itself, I agree totally with twelvetwentynine that the strength of emotion coming from your expression changes the potential of this shot totally, and makes it such an emotional statement ... with a fair bit of anger I suspect.

he was NOT just a Palestinian child...he was all children...Israeli...
Darfurian, Iraqi, Iranian, American, German, British, and on and on he was my child,
your child...

LOL
