Technological change

20 Dec 2015 28 45 688
First the real candles became replaced by electronic candles. Then many decorations replaced by plastic correspondence. And finally the whole tree was switched into artificial one. Technology solved many problems. No risk of fire, no little spiders brought into the house along with a real tree. But is it nothing but "a delusion to believe that the technological changes of our era have rendered irrelevant the wisdom of the ages and the sages." Soundtrack by The Solid Doctor (Steve Cobby): soundcloud.com/steve-cobby/the-solid-doctor-faustian-bargain Reference: www.student.cs.uwaterloo.ca/~cs492/papers/neil-postman--five-things.html Because Christmas is also about the messages, like said by Goethe: "Hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if possible, speak a few reasonable words." Remember to keep it merry! =)

...at least on many first world problems. Yesterday I "complained" how "boring" weather we have here. I forgot to say the positive side, which is of course the absence of really bad storms like hurricanes, tornadoes, ice storms etc. And today we did got a wonderful sunrise and sunset =D

Ground porn: Fresh snow

14 Dec 2015 18 16 901
I saw one of my old friends using hashtag #skyporn at Instagram, and where he lives, it does not seem to be a problem at all to get wonderful shots of sky and clouds every single day. Where I live, the sky is very boring! Either there's no clouds at all, or sky is gray. And in the winter there's only short time of twilight to shoot. Even the northern lights are very rare at this latitude. So, what to shoot? Well, there's always ground under the feet! =D

...piece of piece of art. I once stole this piece of graffiti art made by an anonymous artist(s). There were a public legal graffiti painting event in the local park. People painted graffiti art on large boards put on display. After the event graffiti art finally got piled on the ground and left there for months. Then one evening I decided to save/stole one of them and put it on my wall.
