Irish breakfast...

Irish breakfast...
...for the champions. Second round of shooting glasses done. But because glasses are designed to be filled, I just had to fill this exquisite small glass with Irish Cream.

As a background I used an old baking tray. And to get the details of it pop out, I used an old GIMP editing trick of mine. That interesting blue dot is a reflection of daylight coming from a small window.

Nora Caracci VERY BUSY, Gudrun, Gillian Everett, Diane Putnam and 5 other people have particularly liked this photo

Odd colour for Irish Cream ... all I've ever seen is tan.

Looks more like egg liqueur for me :D

I guess the odd color is partly because of mixed light and also because of editing I did. The color and taste of original cream was of course perfect =P

Merle is right :-) It does not matter what drink is inside ..I'm quite happy to think it's orange juice as I don't drink alcohol :-)
Great background with a "distressed effect" and a well thought-out composition with a difficult electric blue to balance out
(I prefer the photo of the actual glass to that of its shadow )

Leonora, that shadow picture was what I originally planned to shoot. So, this one is more like an sudden inspiration =D But indeed that background is marvelous. I have used those baking trays as a background also before.

I love your picture, particularly the "sculpted" side of the glass....

Something like that Isabelle =D I edited this on small netbook and also noticed the "dust" speckles only afterwards on larger display.

I like this one a lot, the baking tray background is brilliant! Great textural contrast. (I've used up most of my smart photography talk.)
