no it's this "flip video" camera, it blackens out the sun, strange effect, back when tubes were employed with video cameras it was easy to wreck a video camera by pointing it at the sun, it would cause pemanant sun spots, this camera may have asafety valve which causes the black out. I might google this to see if any one else who uses " pure digital technology "cameras to the same effect. It doesn't happen with normal lights? Some one asked about a black spot on a wall and it was just this phenomina coupled with layered images which created the illusion. Sorry for the breif explanation. I really should do my research first. Perhaps there is something blocking the sun? A giant sunglass put up secretly to see if it can reduce the rate of global warming?

it's stuck there, couldn't see it until I pointed at the sun. Oop there it goes, big giant horse fly,...thanks,... I thought the camera was deffective.

It's wierd,... Flip video camera effect, Now they just came out with an HD flip video camera, These are very effective cameras. I'm annoyed with the effect, can't turn it off. Want an old school video camera like the canon gl1 or trv 900 sony, or reel to reel etc,...
