Jaguar E Type  4.2
1964 wurde der Motor auf 4,2 Liter aufgebohrt. Gleichzeitig kam anstelle der schwach synchronisierten "Moss-Box" mit den langen Schaltwegen ein voll synchronisiertes, von Jaguar selbst entwickeltes Viergang-Schaltgetriebe zum Einsatz. Besonders die Verbesserung der zwar schicken, aber besonders in der (nicht verstellbaren) Rückenlehne nur sehr schwach gepolsterten Sitze war den Jaguar-Piloten eine Wohltat.

o0o AH ...JAG ... the Brown's Lane Production Plant is not far from where
I live at the moment ... ;-))) but now its all but closed down totally ;-) transferred
to elsewhere oOo fantastic cars ... love 'em oOo

o0o some are built at Castle Bromwich which is relatively near,
and many of the workforce of course had to travel or take redundancy,
not nice ... its an annoying drive for them from Coventry in the works
traffic to get there ... many left oOo
