Thank you for your multiple comments; I think I can see the bird, there is often Mickey mouse creeping around too. Be careful though because they are very prickly. You would have surely enjoyed a colour close up photo of the "nobbly" bits, which are the bright yellow flowers and their pod, soon to turn into a fruit, the prickly pear. Have you ever tasted prickly pears, the fruit of the opuntia ficus-indica?

o0o you are most welcome and yes "prickly pears" can be prickly ;-) and so your
second name is Micky then ;-) . A close up of the nobbly bits ... you think so ? well
I will leave that for you as you seem to know whats colourful ! I have seen them,
have never tasted them ... so tell me ... what are they like ... fruity ? ;-) oOo

Ha, what do they taste like? Very sweet, full of seeds (up to 300 per fruit) and you have to peel the prickles before you eat them... I only tried them a couple of times and I was not impressed. They look nicer than they taste!
