Palatial

Palatial
The marquee of Southwold's bijou cinema, the Electric Picture Palace, which is owned and run by enthusiasts.

Local architect John Bennett designed it in a consciously dated style, converting the building in 2002 from its previous use as a cart shed and hayloft. There had been another cinema of this name in the town, dating from 1912 but closing in 1963.

There used to be loads of beautiful little cinemas dotted around the country and sadly most have now gone..............it's really good to see this sort of enterprise.
