Loch Etive

Loch Etive
At the loch's northern end, with Ben Cruachan in the distance. Near Gualachulain, Argyll.

The loch continues for 18 miles (30 kilometres), turning sharply west (right) soon after Ben Cruachan and reaching the sea at Connel.

I drove to this point down the wonderfully scenic single-track road from Rannoch Moor through Glen Etive. The glen is linked to the myth of Deidre of the Sorrows.

Spectacular shot and one that brings back many happy memories as my wife and I honeymooned in and around that area! :)
